Join us for a cozy cooking class featuring one of Milford Spice Company’s most unique blends — Smoked Tea Rub.
Inspired by naturally smoked tea, this seasoning adds deep smoky flavor without needing a grill or smoker. In this class we’ll build a vibrant, flavor-packed plate using simple ingredients and bold seasoning.
Together we’ll make a balanced build-a-plate meal with roasted vegetables, plant-based protein, fresh herbs, and an optional flank steak add-on.
To finish the dish, you’ll choose between two delicious sauces: Lemon Tahini Drizzle or Smoked Tea Hot Honey.
This class follows the Milford Spice Build-A-Plate method, where we combine roasted vegetables, protein, and fresh elements to create a balanced and satisfying meal.
Whether you cook plant-based or add the steak option, you’ll learn how one seasoning blend can transform everyday ingredients into something special.
Expect big flavor, simple techniques, and plenty of cooking tips you can use in your own kitchen.
What We’re Cooking
Smoked Tea Rub Sweet Potatoes

Choice of Two Sauces

Core Ingredients
• 2 large sweet potatoes
• 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas
• 1 English cucumber
• ¼ cup fresh parsley
• ¼ cup fresh mint
• 1 lemon
• Olive oil
• Salt
• Milford Spice Smoked Tea Rub
Choose One Sauce Option
Option 1 – Lemon Tahini Sauce
• ¼ cup tahini
• 1 garlic clove
• 1 lemon
• 2–3 tbsp warm water
• Pinch salt
• Optional pinch Smoked Tea Rub
Option 2 – Smoked Tea Hot Honey
• ¼ cup honey
• 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
• ½ tsp Smoked Tea Rub
Optional Protein Add-On
• 1 lb flank steak
Optional Garnish
• Pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds
• Extra herbs
• Extra lemon wedges
Helpful Note for Participants
This class is plant-forward, but you can add flank steak if you'd like additional protein.
At the end of the class we will demonstrate two finishing sauces, and you can choose the one that sounds best to you.
