Brining is easy and it really does make a difference!
Our kit includes the salt blend AND the bag.
Simply add the mixture to approximately 1.5 gallons of stock, water or combination, bring to a boil until the salt dissolves and let cool completely. Add whole turkey (or chicken!) to brine bag, pour in liquid, and keep in a location that will keep it at a safe temperature. Store in a stock pot in a refrigerator or put the bag in a cooler filled with ice. Allow to brine for up to 12 hours, rinse and dry thoroughly and cook as desired.
This is a great mixture as is, or feel free to get creative with additional flavors like extra orange, garlic, etc...
Our brine kit is great for a bird up to about 20 lbs, simply add additional liquid and salt for anything larger.
